Samuel Boat is the musical project of Sam Lisabeth, conjuring up poppy ear-worms with melodies that are sure to have you humming and lyrics fighting with uncertainty & love. While his past recorded exploits have been more on the synth-y lo-fi side, his upcoming record “On The Moon Tonight” is full on rock & roll, with a full band backing new versions of his previously self-recorded tracks. This set is a 50 / 50 between the old and new Boat stylings, in my eyes. Dig in!
Davos Hooker (was: I AM THE LAKE OF FIRE, …worms, and A John Henry Memorial) makes a rare exit from his cavern and sings some tracks from his forthcoming record. These are classics, with his signature folk intimacy, and uncertainty. It almost feels awkward, how these tracks can look at you in your eyes, while only being sound. His last release was a whole decade ago, so you know this next one is gonna be good.
The album is to be released on Unread Records.
YONBRE NETZ is a creator of psychedelic vibrations. A former hypnotist bringing foretellings of weather and a circuit bent future. If the phrase “jungle” music didn’t refer to DnB, I’d call this jungle music.
Yonbre Netz is a bit of a mystical figure, however you can follow their escapades through yonbre.net and on instagram @yonbre.
Deep nostalgic ambient trips via Chicago, IL’s Desi K. A member of the SND584 netlabel, this 20 minute set is sure to provide hallucinations and a simultaneous sense of comfort and discomfort. Do you remember these landscapes? What does this ink blot look like? Are some of the questions brought.
In their own words: “Cloud Mediator works on concrete blocks and slabs. A Chinese-made karaoke machine is plugged directly into speakers in an abandoned building. Reports of smoke and acid rain in the streets.”
Their last full-length “Six suphedrine Swims” was self-released on CD, with tapes released on the great Hallo Gallo. The audio present here was released in higher fidelity as “Tetherdome II” as part of an ongoing live set archive. They do shows in the Chicago area on occasion, follow the links below.

In this pilot episode (recorded to test the new setup in 2023) the great Manx Yetter of milkdew phones in an intimate ‘Yallternative’ set from their home in Fredericksburg, VA. A delicious blend of folk, country, psychedelia, and slacker vibes. All songs in this set are sure to give you the same warm and comfy feeling as sitting around a campfire with friends.

Their new EP “pickin’ flowers, pushin’ daisies” is due for release through the record label Addendum Recordings on July 14th with digital and cassette variations. They do shows all the time out on the east coast, keep an eye on below links for info about that all.
